The Death of Freedom

Lately there has been a sound on the wind, just below the level of hearing. Like someone whispering, just far enough away that the words can not be clearly made out. It is Lady Liberty in her death throes, slowly being strangled by the Nanny State. As each of our personal liberties goes down it is a nail in her coffin.

Our founding fathers set forth our rights in that most noble prose that makes up the Declaration of Independence, the Constitution of the United States and the Bill of Rights. Obama and other similarly minded thugs strip us of our rights. Rights that the government is sworn to uphold. Do they make attacks boldly and in the open? NO! No brothers and sisters we see or rights taken from us in small bits. Each assault takes from us that which is most precious.

So who are the enemies of freedom? The liberal/progressive left and all others who abhor freedom and hate America. Those who work everyday to steal the gift of freedom right from the hands of the people. I name them guilty of treason against the Constitution, and against the Republic. I call upon the various organs of law enforcement to round up these scoundrels and drag them before a court of law.

Unfortunately I must also blame the conservative right. Brothers and sisters we stand quietly by and do nothing while these haters of liberty strip it from us until all that remains are sad tatters of once great ideals.

So on that note I declare the revolution. A revolution not of violence or of blood, but a revolution of ideas and of votes. Let us remove the cancer that infests our state houses and governors' mansions. Let us tear out the blight in Washington, root and branch. Let us toss out those who fail to represent the people, but serve only their own self-interest. We must replace them with thoughtful, freedom loving men and women. I pledge my life, my fortune and my sacred honor to taking back my country. I will struggle everyday toward that end. I will NOT stand idly by. I will NOT be silenced by the p.c. mafia thugs. I call upon all of you, right and left, who see the road we are careening down, and are willing to stand up and say, NO MORE! Join me brothers and sisters.

Now, we must all fear evil men. But there is another kind of evil which we must fear most, and that is the indifference of good men. - Boondock Saints
