In a Funk

I know that today is usually the day I post American Patriot/Hero of the Week, but I have to admit, I am not feeling it today. I have probably been listening to too much talk radio, and reading too much news about freaking CommieCare, and I think it is really starting to get me down. I see the road we are headed down and the probable out come, and I feel sick about the whole mess. I know we have to fight tyranny and socialism, but I think I am going to take a day off and let others carry the fight for a day. After all, I have been railing against CommieCare since before the election, and I am just weary of fighting this battle, and worrying about what a bunch of ass-hats are doing to my country. I WILL be doing Patriots/Heroes this week, but not until Thursday. Until Then readers, fight the good fight, call or write your congressmen and keep your powder dry.

If a conservative sees a foreign threat, he thinks about how to defeat his enemy. A liberal wonders how to surrender gracefully and still look good.

If a conservative is homosexual, he quietly leads his life. If a liberal is homosexual, he demands legislated respect.

If a black man or Hispanic are conservative, they see themselves as independently successful. Their liberal counterparts see themselves as victims in need of government protection.

If a conservative is down-and-out, he thinks about how to better his situation. A liberal wonders who is going to take care of him.

If a conservative doesn't like a talk show host, he switches channels. Liberals demand that those they don't like be shut down.

If a conservative is a non-believer, he doesn't go to church. A liberal non-believer wants any mention of God and religion silenced. (Unless it's a foreign religion, of course!)

If a conservative decides he needs health care, he goes about shopping for it, or may choose a job that provides it. A liberal demands that the rest of us pay for his.

If a conservative slips and falls in a store, he gets up, laughs and is embarrassed. If a liberal slips and falls, he grabs his neck, moans like he's in labor and then sues.

If a conservative reads this, he'll forward it so his friends can have a good laugh. A liberal will demand I delete it because he's "offended".

Joke of the Week

Tip o' the hat to my mom for this week's joke. Even thought she is kind of falling away from true conservative principles, she is still one of us, and has a great sense of humor.

Joe the plumber and his interpretation of Democratic “spreading the wealth:”
The Chosen One discovers a leak under his sink, so he calls Joe the Plumber to come and fix it.

Joe drives to The Chosen One’s house, which is located in a very nice neighborhood and where its clear that all the residents make more than $250,000 per year.

Joe arrives and takes his tools into the house. Joe is led to the room that contains the leaky pipe under a sink. Joe assesses the problem and tells The Chosen One , who is standing near the door, that its an easy repair that will
take less than 10 minutes.

The Chosen One asks Joe how much it will cost. Joe immediately says, “$9,500.”

“$9,500?” The Chosen One asks, stunned. “But you said it”s an easy repair!”

“Yes, but what I do is charge a lot more to my clients who make more than $250,000 per year so I can fix the plumbing of everybody who makes less than that for free,” explains Joe. “Its always been my philosophy. As a matter of fact, I lobbied government to pass this philosophy as law, and it did pass earlier this year, so now all plumbers have to do business this way. It’s known as “Joe’s Fair Plumbing Act of 2008.” Surprised you haven’t heard of it, senator.”

In spite of that, The Chosen One tells Joe there’s no way he’s paying that much for a small plumbing repair, so Joe leaves.

The Chosen One spends the next hour flipping through the phone book looking for another plumber, but he finds that all other plumbing businesses listed have gone out of business. Not wanting to pay Joe’s price, The Chosen One does nothing.

The leak under The Chosen One’s sink goes un-repaired for the next several days.

A week later, the leak is so bad that The Chosen One has had to put a bucket under the sink. The bucket fills up quickly and has to be emptied every hour, and there’s a risk that the room will flood, so The Chosen One calls Joe and pleads with him to return.

Joe goes back to The Chosen One’s house, looks at the leaky pipe, and says “Let’s see this will cost you about $21,000.”

“A few days ago you told me it would cost $9,500!” The Chosen One quickly fires back.

Joe explains the reason for the dramatic increase. “Well, because of the “Joe’s Fair Plumbing Act,” a lot of rich people are learning how to fix their own plumbing, so there are fewer of you paying for all the free plumbing I’m doing for the people who make less than $250,000. As a result, the rate I have to charge my wealthy paying customers rises every day.

“Not only that, but for some reason the demand for plumbing work from the group of people who get it for free has skyrocketed, and there’s a long waiting list of those who need repairs. This has put a lot of my fellow plumbers out of business, and nobody is going into the plumbing business because they know they won’t make any money. I’m hurting now too all thanks to greedy rich people like you who won’t pay their fair share.”

The Chosen One tries to straighten out the plumber: “Of course you’re hurting, Joe! Don’t you get it? If all the rich people learn how to fix their own plumbing and you refuse to charge the poorer people for your services, you’ll be broke, and then what will you do?”

Joe immediately replies, “Run for president, apparently.”

Thoughts on CommieCare

Piglosi, Dingy Harry and The Chosen One have really started to turn up the heat on CommieCare this week. I have to admit that I am damned tired of the whole CommieCare fight, but this fight is to important to give in to battle fatigue now. This den of thieves is trying to pull a fast one on all of us. They say that they are doing this for the betterment of the nation. THEY LIE! It is about suborning honest Americans and bringing them, and a large portion of the nation economy, under government control. The want to force us face first into the government trough. The leftists have learned that the more people who depend on the government for an essential service, the more leverage they will have as the party that is always willing to dole out the hand-outs. It all comes down to control. Like the tax code, they will use this as another political tool to play politics with.

I don't expect much from the leftist Kool-Aid drinking proles, of course these drones want the government to do for them, and keep those in power that promise them a bigger hand-out. Look at Social Security, welfare, Medicare and Medicaid. The recipients of government charity always vote for the group that promises a bigger slice of the pie. Robert Heinlein said it best, "What is supposed to happen in a democracy is that each sovereign citizen will always vote in the public interest for the safety and welfare of all. But what does happen is that he votes his own self-interest as he sees it… which for the majority translates as "Bread and Circuses." "Bread and Circuses" is the cancer of democracy, the fatal disease for which there is no cure. Democracy often works beautifully at first. But once a state extends the franchise to every warm body, be he producer or parasite, that day marks the beginning of the end of the state. For when the plebs discover that they can vote themselves bread and circuses without limit and that the productive members of the body politic cannot stop them, they will do so, until the state bleeds to death, or in its weakened condition the state succumbs to an invader—the barbarians enter Rome.

Brothers and sisters, it is worse than even Heinlein predicted. The barbarians are not beating on the gates. No, they have already infiltrated the shining city on the hill, and are bringing us down from the inside. They are suborning our culture and destroying our way of life. They hate America, and feel that the prosperity we have earned is somehow stolen, or was taken at the expense of others, and that it just is not fair. The enemies of freedom have penetrated our system all the way to the top. The have used the processes of this great republic to gather up the reins of power. Having achieved that goal they are now bent on dismantling our system. The first step was to get as many on the dole as possible, thus making the dependent. Next they infiltrated the main stream media and turned them to their will. Then the started to take apart our financial institutions and private industries, such as the auto companies, and placing them under government control. Now they are attempting to tax the air we breath and force us into government run health care.

As I have said before, do you really want the idiots who let Wall Street fall, White Water and any number of other shenanigans happen in charge of your health? The idea frightens me. Look at Canada and how well their system has served them. Look to England's National Health System. I do not want English Teeth, do you? They say that he bill will not have death panels, by whatever name, or allow illegals to continue to soak up our hard earned tax dollars. I say again, THEY LIE! The violate our Constitution and smile while they say it is for our own good.

We will not have to worry about the barbarians battering down the gates, our so called leaders are inviting them in. We must continue to fight, to keep the pressure on these bastards. Write your congress members. Brothers and sisters, pass this message on. Send it in e-mails, post links and send it to your friends. Re-post this on your blogs, and forward it to the talk show hosts, you have my permission. The wider distribution on this message, the better for a free America. We beat back amnesty by stirring the masses to respond to congress and their disregard for our laws in one voice, "NO!" We won that fight, and we can win this fight too. Unite? I Don't Think So!‏

I don't know where this originated, but I like it! Tip o' the Hat, again, to my dad who sent this to me.

I have noted that many elected officials, both Democrats and Republicans, have called upon America to unite behind Obama. Well, I want to make it clear to all who will listen: I AM NOT uniting behind Obama!

I will respect the office which he holds, and I will acknowledge his abilities as an orator and wordsmith, BUT that is it!!!

I have begun today to see what I can do to make sure that He is a one-term President!

Why am I doing this?

It is because I do not share Obama's vision or value system for America: I do not share his abortion beliefs; I do not share his radical socialist concept of re-distributing wealth and government control of banks, the auto industry, the health care industry; I do not share his belief that America needs 30+ "czars" to rule over sections of our economy; I do not share his view that America is arrogant; I do not share his view that America is not a Christian nation.

I do not share his view that the military should be reduced by 25%; I do not share his view of amnesty and giving more to illegals than to American citizens who need help; I do not share his views on homosexuality and his definition of marriage; I do not share his views that radical Islam is our friend and Israel is our enemy; I do not share his spiritual beliefs (at least the ones he has made public); I do not share his beliefs on how to re-work the health care system in America;

I do not share his strategic views of the Middle East, and certainly do not share his plan to sit down with terrorist regimes such as Iran.

Bottom line.... my America is vastly different from Obama's, and I have a higher obligation to my Country and my God to do what is right!

For eight (8) years, the liberals in our society, led by numerous entertainers who would have no platform and no real credibility but for their celebrity status, have attacked President Bush, his family, and his spiritual beliefs!

They have not moved toward the center in their beliefs and their philosophies, and they never came together nor compromised their personal beliefs for the betterment of our country! They have portrayed my America as a land where everything is tolerated except being intolerant!

They have been a vocal and irreverent minority for years; they have mocked and attacked the very core values so important to the founding and growth of our country!

They have made every effort to remove the name of God or Jesus Christ from our society! They have challenged capital punishment, the right to bear arms, and the most basic principles of our criminal code; they have attacked one of the most fundamental of all freedoms, the right of free speech!

Unite behind Obama? Never!

I am sure many of you who read this think that I am going overboard, but I refuse to retreat one more inch in favor of those whom I believe are the embodiment of evil!

PRESIDENT BUSH made many mistakes during his presidency, and I am not sure how history will judge him. However, I believe that he weighed his decisions in light of the long established Judeo-Christian principles of our Founding Fathers!!!

Majority rules in America , and I will honor the concept; however, I will fight with all of my power to be a voice in opposition to Obama and "his goals for America .."

I am going to be a thorn in the side of those who, if left unchecked, will destroy our country!! Any more compromise is more defeat!

I pray that the results of this election will wake up many who have sat on the sidelines and allowed the Socialist anti-God crowd to slowly change so much of what has been good in America!

Advice To The Chosen One

Not that I think he will listen, but today I am going to offer a little career advice to Dear Leader. I am also going to e-mail it to the White House so that the current presidential encumbrance, errrr... incumbent can maybe start to do the will of the people like he was elected to do, rather than force his piss-poor Marxist theories down our throats. Do not bet on a response, but if the planets align during a blue moon I will post it.

1. If you want a day of service as a tribute to the fallen of 9/11 try this. Declare 9/11 a day or remembrance. Declare 9/12 a day of service. Encourage the people to go out and help the less fortunate, build houses for the homeless, send a care package to a soldier abroad etc. That would have been fitting and something ALL the people could have gotten behind. Do NOT encourage people to think green to remember the fallen of a terrorist attack. WAY inappropriate.

2. On days when the people are mourning, share their grief. Give a speech from your heart, not some lackluster nonsense, then cut out to go paint a house.

3. Drop the pretense. Twice I have seen you engaged in activities better suited to shorts and a t-shirt rather than dress clothes. Playing basketball with inner-city kids and painting houses in a dress shirt and slacks does not make you look majestic. I only makes you look like you have know idea what you are doing, and is probably very uncomfortable.

4. TELL THE TRUTH. If you say you are not going to hire lobbyists, then do not hire lobbyists. You said you would run the "most transparent administration in history." Yet you hide all kinds of information. If you were to speak truthfully and plainly, people may not like your ideas any more than when you obfuscate the facts, but they will respect you more. People who are well respected have an easier time getting their ideas across and convincing others to go along with them.

5. Resist the urge to throw the weight of your office around to help your friends. As case and point, I offer the backlash leveled against you when you called police stupid to help out "Skip" Gates.

6. Listening to what the people want rather than what you want does not make you weak. It will make you a good representative of the people. In case you never studied the US Constitution while you were growing up in Indonesia, this is the primary duty of all public servants.

7. Civil servant means servant of the people. It is not semantically equal to civil master.

8. 52% is NOT a mandate from the people.

9. You were not enthroned, canonized or divinely appointed. You were elected.

10. All glory is fleeting.

11. Despite what your aides tell you, the sun does shine from your rectum.

12. Surrounding yourself with yes-men leads to hubris.

13. Just because people dislike your ideas, theories and policy decisions does not mean they are racist.

14. Socialism is a bad thing that is why all the experiments with it have collapsed, shifted towards capitalism or forced the general population to live is squalor. National Socialism is worse. It caused the people of the world to rise up and destroy a nation.

15. Listen to other people of a wide variety of opinions. Listening to yourself too much leads to hubris as well.

16. Cavorting with known communist and socialist dictators hurts you credibility in a democratic republic.

17. Stop talking and listen for a change.

18. World Apology Tours only work for personal actions. Americans want a leader who will love and support this country as much as we do.

19. Everyone thinks Kanye is an ass-hat too. You however are the president, and the most powerful leader in the free world. People, especially the drive-by media, hangs on your ever word. Try to show a little dignity huh?

20. Compromise only works when you get input from all sides, not by freezing out the opposition.

21. You do not have all the answers. It is okay to admit this.

22. Most people want to make choices for themselves. We do NOT want Big Mother doing it for us.

I think if The Chosen One could remember to follow these few simple suggestions, we would have a much stronger nation and more justice for all. He would also build a strong legacy that all Americans could be proud of. Even if we do not get some form of socialism. I ask you, is that so bad?

American Patriot/Hero of the Week

I got this from The Conservative Resistance. I wanted to comment on Joe Wilson and his stand against The Chosen One, but I was not sure where to put it. Then it struck me, this was the action of a patriot. This man plainly said what so many of us are feeling, and is now staring down criticism not only from the drive-bys, but also cowards on his own side of the aisle. Bravo Joe. Go for broke, and remember, we are behind you. Help support Rep. Joe Wilson. You will not be sorry.

"You Lie!"

My new hero. Seems I have a lot of those lately, probably because more and more people are beginning to stand up in the face of a quickly-rising totalitarian regime. Of course, those on the left will disagree with a sanctimonious snicker; after all, they couldn't possibly be indirectly supporting National Socialism, now could they? They're far too enlightened for that. Lest we forget this passage from one of my recent posts:


All of this caused American progressives to do three things: First of all, they denied ever supporting Mussolini and fascism in the first place. Secondly, they shifted their hero-worship to fascism's closest cousin: revolutionary communism. And, thirdly, they created the myth that fascism and communism were not only ideologically distinct but that they were polar opposites. Fascism was the far right, and communism was the far left. Obviously liberals couldn't have ever supported fascism: that was the wrong side of the political spectrum!

The notion that fascism and communism are ideologically opposed has never made any sense. The prototypical fascists--the Nazis--were the national socialist party of Germany.

Remember - he who snickers last, snickers best.

The Citizen Wells blog began warning of the striking similarities between the Obama camp and Nazi Germany early in 2008. Why did I do so early on? I am a student of history, I have read quite a bit about Nazi Germany and I was paying attention and investigating Obama,the spectre of the Obama camp reminding me of pre World War II Nazi Germany.

As time went by, I became increasingly concerned that history was indeed repeating itself. Democrats Give Wilson Ultimatum: Apology or Punishment
House Democratic leaders announced Friday they will discipline Republican Rep. Joe Wilson next week if he does not apologize on the floor of the House for yelling “You lie” at President Obama during Wednesday’s joint address to Congress.

Democrats say they do not know what the sanction will be, but it is doubtful it will be censure. Censure in the House is a type of reprimand. Another alternative is an official rebuke.

At the time of Wilson’s outburst, the president was announcing that his health care reform bill does not cover illegal immigrants, a position that Wilson apparently didn’t believe.

The episode shocked lawmakers of both parties. Obama and House Speaker Nancy Pelosi stared daggers in Wilson’s direction after the shout.

The discipline will not come until Tuesday at the earliest. The full House votes on the resolution. If the House approves the resolution, Wilson will then stand in the well of the House as his punishment is meted out by Pelosi, presiding from the dais.

This decision is a reversal by the speaker, who told FOX News after the speech she saw no need for discipline. At her weekly news conference Thursday, Pelosi reiterated that stance and said she wanted to move forward with health care.

But Democrats changed course Thursday afternoon after a leadership meeting in Pelosi’s office.”

Well, anyway, let me say this about Joe Wilson's outburst: he speaks for me, and protocol be damned. What is being 'polite' going to get us? I'll tell you what it'll get us....further destruction of the country. It's time to think outside the box of the Constitution, people, because if we don't, there won't be much of a Constitution left to defend.

Even Leonidas realized that truth in his particular situation, a situation that indirectly led to the development of Western Civilization. Ah, Western Civilization - that's just so...so..'yesterday', isn't it? Time for some 'change'. Oh, and some 'hope', too....can't forget that.

Rep. Wilson's outburst was more than his pointing out the obvious about the healthcare bill in specific and the Messiah more generally; that was the voice of common-sense Americans trying to take back their country after four f***ing decades of being told that they have to apologize for being a citizen of an organized country, of a successful country, for being white, male, Catholic, intelligent, successful, and anything else that runs contrary to worshipping at the altar of political correctness.

PROTOCOL BE DAMNED.

Oh, and by the way - something that I pointed out in my book - any idea where the term 'political correctness' came from? You got it - 1920's Russia, a time when the people of that country were being forced to undergo a ruthless social transformation at the hands of the Bolsheviks. How did that work out for them, by the way?

Yes, Rep. Wilson speaks for me. I have no intention of living under the thumb of the National Socialist regime.

Oh, and just for curiosity's sake: was Harry Reid forced to apologize when he called President Bush a 'loser' and a 'liar'? Were the Democrats as a group admonished in any way when they literally 'booed' President Bush during one of his speeches to congress? Was Nancy Pelosi called on the carpet for her claim that the CIA 'lied' to her?

Again, just curious.

The drive-by media, which at this point is completely complicit in the situation in which we find ourselves, will no doubt do one of two things (or both) in response to today's history: they'll most likely do their damndest to ignore it with their hands over their ears and pretend it's not happening, or, when the crescendo reaches the point when it clearly no longer can be ignored, they'll do their best to ridicule, demean, and make fun of (just like spoiled kids, which is something else that I've been desperately trying to point out) honest, everyday people.

Yes, those members of the MSM are just really nice people. Yessir.

The news is dead. It went to the internet.

I honestly hope that nothing bad happens today, but if something of a civil-unrest nature does break out, I can assure you it will be from the tantrum-throwers on the left, because, just like little kids, they just want the adults to 'leave them alone' and to 'shut up'. After all, we're ruining all the fun. I hope everyone understands the tinderbox quality of what is going in in Washington, as well as to be prepared for some potential real badness in the immediate future.

Will the message resonate with our - um - 'elected' officials? Doubtful. They're so arrogant, out-of-touch, and believe so seriously in their own elitist superiority that they'll never be able to cross the mental divide in order to even begin to identify with the feelings of middle America.

Here's to hoping the real 'change' begins today.

Russian Subs Off Our Coast

It is hard to know what to write about. There is such a target rich environment. I guess what is on my mind the most is the two commie submarines patrolling off the east coast. I said in one of my first posts, the leopard does not change it's spots. I rarely agree with Senator McCain on anything, but when I see Putin, like McCain, all I see is a K, and G and B. This hearkens back to the cold war days. Twenty years ago the Sov's where doing this nonsense. The difference now is that when they are found out they are not running for the hills. Why is this you might ask? They linger without fear because they KNOW that the current administration is weak and will do nothing. Reagan would have been dropping torpedoes out of helicopters, and the fleet would chase them away or blow them out of the water.
The weirdest thing is that the Soviets are not even denying they are there, in fact they are boasting. So what is The Chosen One doing about this. Not a damn thing. The drive by media is complicit as well. On my way to the smoke dock at work, the commentator said that there was nothing to worry about as the subs were attack subs, not boomers (Ballistic Missile Submarines). This was comforting for about thirty seconds until I remembered this little pearl. We have attack subs that can launch cruise missiles. No big deal right? Wrong. Those babies can pack nuclear warheads. Granted not big ones, but I would hate to see one go off on say....Manhattan. Worse, in D.C. But then I wondered do the commies have this type of weapon? Indeed they do. The RPK-2 Viyuga is just such a weapon. The only difference is that instead of a special vertical launcher, it deploys from a torpedo tube. The subs are NATO reporting type Akula class attack subs. These subs are more than capable of launching the RPK-2 for a first strike. They Russians know it, our politicians know it, and despite their pitiful platitudes, the Pentagon knows it.
The main question is, why are the Russians rattling their sabers now? Like sharks, they sense blood in the water. They want to press their interests in Georgia again, and they sense the weakness of their prey. Pravda is boasting that we are shaking with fear. Worse, because of who our leader is, they are right.
I personally do not want any foreign nukes that close to my country. Many of you do not either. So what is the solution? Depth charges and torpedoes until they run like whipped curs or sink like stones. The Chosen One will not do that though. I am sure he sees them as his fraternal socialist allies here on a mission of peace. Besides, he is to busy encouraging children to inform on their parents in the best traditions of socialism.
This is scary shit brothers and sisters. I think we are deep in the cakey now, but Dear Leader does nothing. Keep your powder dry citizens.

The Leopard Does Not Change Its Spots

So as everyone should know by now, the Soviets have invaded a foreign nation. Now Joe Blow America may think this doesn't matter to him. Of far more importance to are the prices of a gallon of gas or milk. The better informed of my readers know the deeper repercussions of this conflict, but for those who don't, here it is.

First there is a major oil pipeline out of the Hell Pit, the Middle East, which runs right through Georgia. The Soviets lust for control of this pipeline in a bid to control the flow of oil. As with all war, it is merely armed robbery writ large. If you think the commies controlling more of the world's oil supply won't affect prices at the pump then I suppose that respiration, chewing gum and walking all at the same time comes as a big intellectual challenge for you.

Secondly the Soviets are trying to recapture the glory of the empire they once held. Invading Georgia is but the first step. The next step is to attempt to retake the other lost "provinces." There is a reason that four other presidents from former Soviet Bloc countries have closed ranks behind Georgia. They see the way the wind is blowing. Putin, since he has come to power, has made his goal to recapture the nations that broke away after the fall of the Soviet Union. This is so obvious that a blind man could see it. This is naked and brazen Soviet imperialism.

So at this point the question becomes where are the protesters? Where are the no blood for oil and other anti-imperialistic slogans? They are here, making sure that the American people do nothing. They berate us for trying to aid other peoples realize freedom through self determination. They scream at imagined acts committed by America but done in reality by these commie bastards. They ensure that we can not help our freedom loving brothers in the former Soviet bloc. In the best tradition of the modern Democratic Party and "Big Joe" Kennedy these appeasers want us to give the Soviets carte blanche in the region.

Let's consider this scenario for a moment. A nation with imperialistic aspirations sends in insurgents of a "shared cultural heritage" to cause trouble. The local government moves to stop the unrest. Under a thinly veiled guise of peacekeeping forces, the imperialistic wannabes send in troops to protect the people of the "shared cultural heritage." Next thing you know we have a nation under occupation. Does any of this sound familiar? Does this sound like the Russian/Georgian conflict? It should, but this is not the conflict of which I speak. This is the methodology that Hitler used to justify the invasion and occupation of Austria. Using a stalking horse is a time honored justification for visiting all manner of nastiness on your neighbors.

I recently read an article in the New York Times describing how the world at large has left the Soviets no other options other than military action for dealing with the issues they have with Georgia. The world has turned a blind eye to the plight of Mother Russia and the insurgents that they have infiltrated into their neighbor. These are two of the very same arguments that "Big Joe," Neville Chamberlain, and the surrender-monkey (French) president used to justify a policy of systematic appeasement of Hitler and Nazi Germany. Who do these clowns think they are fooling? They think they are fooling you. What's worse, by and large, they are. It is only human nature to believe, "What I tell you three times must be the truth."

America must stand up to the "Traditional Enemy." We should give Georgia, and any former Soviet vassal state, expedited NATO membership. We tried this already but it was blocked by the surrender-monkeys and the Germans. To hell with them I say. Since America can't seem to gather the will to oppose our so called NATO allies, I propose that we send our own peacekeepers. Maybe we should send humanitarian aid. I suggest a carrier task group and the 1^st infantry division. We will quickly see if the Sovs have the stomach to occupy a nation friendly to America with 10,000 soldiers and two carriers sitting off their coast loaded with war shots. Alas this is not to be. None of the gutless wonders in Washington will stand up for our brothers abroad. At times like this I wonder what Reagan would do? I can tell you this, he would do nothing. He would do nothing because he wouldn't have too. The Soviets would never stand against a strong nation led by a man of such determination and will. They would cower before the man who broke their nation once before, not by conquest but by giving them the rope, inviting them to insert their heads and pull the shiny lever. The world knew that the sheriff was in town, and wouldn't dare make a move under his gaze. Reagan knew that whatever they called themselves, a Soviet is still a Soviet, and a leopard NEVER changes its spots, even if you wish ever so hard. Maybe we should find another leader like that.
